It took a while — editing video just isn’t my wheelhouse any longer! But here she be! Thanks so much to Daniela D’Ingiullo, who recorded the audio and video for the April 21, 2026 concert of the University of Kentucky New Music Ensemble, conducted by her husband, Juan Trigos. Besides cello soloist Chris Kim (who was superb!), the student players included Eli Ratliff on horn, Darik Johnson on trumpet, Anthony Glenn on trombone, Selena Vega and Ezra Anderson on violins, Ethan Buel on viola, Holden Bitner on cello, and Elizabeth Hammock on double bass.

You can definitely hear the elegy style in the performance, right up to the very quiet and subtle coda with string harmonics. What a blast having UK student instrumentalists playing notes I wrote! I’m so lucky!
